Tired of your kids riding the bench?
𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵? (Parent’s let me know if this relates!)
As a parent, it’s a sad sight to see. Your son or daughter goes to practice, works on their skills, only to sit out for the majority of a game
You sit there wondering to yourself “Why isn’t my child playing? Does the coach not like them? How come the other kids are playing but not mine?”
𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁.
You then comfort your child, explaining to them they did a good job, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺.
When a child feels inadequate and like they aren’t good enough, it leads to a myriad of other problems in the future.

So how do we stop this from happening?
It’s simple. You find an activity where:
✔️There are no sidelines or benches
✔️ The main focus isn’t necessarily for only competition
✔️ Kids are being lead by a mentor and role model that will push them but not in a way that crushes their confidence
✔️ Kids are dealing with challenges incrementally to reinforce the “I can do it” mentality
I may be a little baised, but martial arts DOES boost kids confidence. It gives them value and self worth, something kids these days desperately need to do well in the world.
If you want to give your kids the head start in life, consider putting them in martial arts classes. We offer classes year-round, so there’s no “season” like there is with sports.

Have a great day!
P.S I played sports throughout elementrary school, middle school, and high school. And I loved them! But what I found is that with my martial arts training it provided a great advantage both physically and mentally. You could put them in for that reason!
