The Power Of Gratitude
How often are we thankful for the things we have?
Just the other day I had a discussion with one of my students during a private lesson, and we had an interesting conversation about gratitude.
I wanted to share some of our realizations with you all, and how it can positively affect your life.
#1 Being thankful improves your mood
The saying is true. When you count your blessings instead of setbacks, it changes your perspective on how you look at the world. Whenever you are helping someone out, or appreciating what you have, it’s very difficult to be upset.
#2 Appreciate the small things
Maybe it’s the fact you can drive yourself to work. Maybe it’s the coffee you have in the morning. Once you learn to appreciate small aspects of life, it makes your day seem brighter.
#3 It could always be worse!
Sometimes, we are faced with situations that might seem like it’s the end of the world. When in reality, its how YOU look at the situation that determines how you feel. I can tell you this, when you feel like you have it bad, it’s not as bad as someone else. When you look at it that way, it shifts your perspective on how things are going.
One of the things I invite you to do is get in the habit of writing 3 things everyday that you are grateful for. (I use an app called Bliss, it’s free and I’m not being paid to promote it).
You’ll be amazed what it does to your mood!
Have an awesome week!
